 NATIVE LANDS TOUR - April 18-24, 2020

Join me and a group of no more than eight participant photographers for a unique experience photographing in some of the most beautiful, sacred and cherished Native lands in the Southwest, including Chaco Canyon, Shiprock, Monument Valley, Valley of the Gods, and Canyon de Chelly. The moon will be in its darkest phase during the week of our tour, giving up grand opportunities to photograph the arch of the spring Milky Way.

Lodging provided from Saturday, April 18 through Friday, April 24, ground transportation, meals included, professional photographic instruction included. (Lodging accommodations double occupancy 4/18-4/24, single occupancy available for an additional $750.) Participants will meet in Albuquerque early Sunday, April 18, returning to Albuquerque Friday afternoon, April 24.  Price: $2,700, does not include airfare, alcoholic beverages, New Mexico sales tax.  Deposit $500, fully refundable before March 1, 2020. Balance due April 1, 2019. Cancellation notification must be given in writing before March 1, 2020. All major credit cards accepted.


Saturday, April 17 - Travel day, hotel and late group dinner in Albuquerque. Overnight in Albuquerque.

Sunday, April 18 - Meet at 8:00 a.m., and drive from Albuquerque to Chaco Canyon, photograph until sunset, then drive to Farmington. Overnight in Farmington.

Monday, April 19 - Photograph at Shiprock, drive to Monument Valley, photograph sunset at Monument Valley. Overnight near Monument Valley.

Tuesday, April 20 - Photograph in Monument Valley and in the Valley of the Gods. Overnight near Monument Valley.

Wednesday, April 22 - Photograph sunrise in Monument Valley, then drive to Canyon de Chelly, 1hotograph Canyon de Chelly, including sunset. Overnight in Chinle. (Note: In Canyon de Chelly we will be led by a local guide.)

Thursday, April 22 - Photograph Canyon de Chelly. Overnight in Chinle.

Friday, April 23 - Photograph sunrise Canyon de Chelly, drive to Albuquerque, arriving at approximately 2:00 p.m..  Providing we arrive in Albuquerque in time to do so, before checking in to our hotel we will ride the Sandia Peak Tramway to the top of Sandia Peak, overlooking the city from some 12,000 ft. For those who are not flying out late Friday, the group will meet for a closing dinner.  Albuquerque hotel Friday, April 26 and closing dinner included in tour price. 

Saturday, April 24 - Travel day for those participants not flying out Friday afternoon/evening.
